Re: Gomorrah
Nice one, PD, cheers, as that link presumably has all episodes with subs in English. Been stuck on episode 6 as couldn't find anything decent quality beyond that.

Suburra was damned good.

Fair play to smartypants for getting up there, although I've been to and even lived in a place or two where the locals told me it was suicide to set foot. "Yes, well," I said to myself, "but you cunts have never been to Dagenham..."

Has anyone read Roberto Saviano's book ? Been meaning to get around to it.

Re: Gomorrah
It’s a great city to visit and you should go before they pull them down, which will happen sooner rather than later. I’ve aleays been attracted to that kind of stuff so if your like me you will have a great time, there’s def something in the air down there and some of the adjoining towns are also very dodgy, run by African gangs in some cases with commorah permission, which is def not the case in scampia, one of the main men up there was killed not long ago and he was just 16 I think, crazy.

Re: Gomorrah
Yeah it's the architecture that interests me most too (as well as general mentalness). Fair play to you for going

Re: Gomorrah
Mashed - I was over there for the Napoli v inter game and got taken up there by a local, I would def not hire a car or get the train up there. A fair few locals thought I was mental for wanting to go. I doubt they do tours but they are generally a friendly bunch down there and for a few more euros I’m sure the right taxi driver would take you round. I’m really interested by the design of that place so have been keen to go and look for years. The blocks are colour coded and there is more activity in some than others, I wasn’t allowed to even get out there car at some points. Apparently those flats and the disused school next door have been turning over up to 10 million euros a month, which is mental. You would of thought it would of all calmed down since the film and coverage but apparently not.

Just checked and definitely on Sky on demand.

It is the absolute bollocks, I'm gonna smash it all again before watching the 3rd series.

Re: Gomorrah

I was in Rome in 2015 and was going to go down to Naples/Bay of Naples but decided against it, should have really as I may never get there again.

smartypants 10:44 Fri Dec 29

How did you get round to that?

Can you just get a taxi/bus there and get out and walk round or is that borderline suicide?

Or is it best to rent a car and drive round?

Or are there guided tours and that like there is in Brazil/South Africa etc.?

Did you get any hassle?

Genuine question.

Nice one, cheers.

Probably been my favourite programme of the past few years and right up there with the best I've ever seen.

Re: Gomorrah
I went to la vela in scampia in October, felt like an apocalyptic film set, it’s lawless and now run by kids since the law locked up there dads, who funnily enough were the ones who kept some form of order

I've been waiting for the fuckers to stick it on Sky Atlantic, considering it was filmed bloody ages ago!!

Re: Gomorrah
Just put down season 3. Won't give anything away ref storyline, but imo it isn't 'quite' as good as the previous 2, maybe because Don Pietro was no more, but still very fucking good. Any thoughts?

Season 4 on the way apparently.
